How technology has changed my life this year!

I have to admit, the thing I loved the least was the Mobi...I would usually have the student come up to the board because they had so much trouble writing on the Mobi and it seemed to take more time trying to make it look nice. The white interactive board was the best along with the speaker system.  These two I used every day.  The CPS system will be used more next year because this summer I will have more time to get everything set up....when you have three different preps there does not seem…See More

Printers No More

What is up with the SWAT Team printer removers ? Apparently we are all supposed to sit back and wait for the 'special forces" to swoop down in black helicopters under the cover of darkness and whisk away our printers. WOW! What is this world coming to? I know Layne had no part in this decision and that I am singing to the choir. But, COME ON PEOPLE, wise up and look at the real waste in our district. It is extremely frustrating.

Agenda for Feb. 16th Meeting

Please make sure you all attend our meetings. I know we are all busy but please try to make time. Tomorrow night the meeting will be in the Tech Training Room in the basement of the ESC. To find the basement the easiest thing to do is walk in the front door of the ESC, take the hallway behind Lorie's desk to the right, you will see the HR offices, take that hallway all the way to the back of the building and you should see some steps to your left when you get to the back of the building, take…See More

CPS Reports

The focus of our Jan 19th Diff in Tech meeting was CPS Reports. These are really the key to formative assessment and being able to group students. Jamie created a summary of 7 of the more valuable reports--which I have uploaded. (Click on the link below)Let us know how you are using reports in your classroom. Which reports do you prefer? My favorite report is...well, I'll save that for later.See More

Helpful Hints using CPS

This was posted on einstruction's website...buried deep within one of their pdfs. It actually made me feel better about how I used themBelow are answers and guidance to common questions: Don’t feel obligated to have every student respond to every question—give a little notice and terminate the response cycle. When using CPS, use it smoothly across your session. That is, don’t wait until the end of class then ask 10 questions very fast. Keep your students alert by continuously involving them…See More
